Alongside those students that arrived at College the same time as me we had several other close pals from other years. Tom Batty was one such and crops up regularly in photos of our group. Sadly I completely lost touch with him after we finished in June 1973. Luckily enough I recently discovered he lives not that far off from me in the East Midlands.
So tomorrow I'm off to Melton Mowbray to meet him for lunch...a bit of catching up I guess...after a gap of 44 years...it barely seems plausible!
